For select 2003-2006 Toyota factory radios, this cable plugs into the CD changer port and provides a direct audio input from any iPod with a dock connector, and it also charges the iPod while connected. By using the dock connector for audio output, the highest musical sound quality is achieved- much better than any FM transmitter or headphone adapter can provide. The iPod's click wheel controls are still used for song selection, play control, etc.

Note: This part is NOT compatible with vehicles featuring factory equipped external CD changers, satellite radio turner, navigation, or video systems. Not compatible with some 2006 Toyota 6-disc in-dash radios. The radio must have external CD changer controls to operate- specifically disc up/down buttons must be on the face of the radio or the auxiliary input may not be active on the radio.

Note: This cable charges only Firewire compatible iPods.  All new iPods with only USB compatible charging (iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Nano 4G, iPod Classic 120GB, and iPod Touch 2G) will not charge unless an adapter such as this is used with it.
