X3 Triple Auxiliary Audio Input with X3FRDN Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury Harness for vehicles with the 16 and 20-pin harness. The best way to determine which FORD X3 harness is compatible is to remove the radio and look at the connectors in order to count the number of pins.

The Part # X3-FRDN is short for X3-system FoRD radios with the New “World Connectors”. This auxiliary plus CD Changer converter, was specially designed for OEM (factory) Ford radios. The X3 System is composed of a universal brain module and a wired remote input switcher with display plus a vehicle specific wiring harness. The X3-FRDN connects to the X3 (brain module) and allows 3 auxiliary audio sources to be connected to the OEM radio when a CD Changer, Satellite Radio or Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) System is present. This converter will interrupt the audio of the CD Changer, Satellite Radio or RSE, switching from AUX1, AUX2, AUX3 and back to CD Changer, satellite Radio or RSE audio.

X3-FRDN harness installs behind the radio in-series with the Slave Unit data cable.
