The FRDN-POD/S from Precision Interface Electronics provides direct connection for an iPod to the OEM radio (with built-in Satellite radio control functions) in your Ford, Lincoln or Mercury Group vehicle. Unlike many other interfaces on the market, the FRDN-POD/S retains the iPod screen and controls as well as basic operation through the CD Changer or steering wheel controls of the OEM radio (i.e. play/pause, track up/down, fast forward/rewind). One simple connection provides digital quality iPod sound and charges your iPod at the same time.The FRDN-POD/S is compatible with Ford/Lincoln/Mercury radios featuring the 16 and 20 pin harness at the back of the radio. Using this interface, the iPod will take the place of the Ford Sirius Satellite radio tiuner, providing you with the most interactive OEM iPod “INTERFACE” in the industry.

The OEM radio’s Sirius Satellite radio controls will be utilized to operate the iPod, allowing you to benefit from:
● Individual search by artist, album, playlist, song, composer etc…
● Ability to display the following TEXT fields: Artist name (12-Characters), Song title (16-Characters, shown 8-characters at a time when song is first selected / 12 Characters show when searching songs), Album title (12-Characters), Playlist name (12-Characters)
● The option of using the OEM radio or iPod to control your iPod.
